FIRST DAY OF WORK.
i went to work today! hahaha, prais God, things turned out ok-ly. i asked for a centre in the east and i got the pasir ris one! which is soo much nearer (: and i learnt quite a number of things today. firstly, that 3 year olds dont really know how to read and write yet. oops. haha.
SO. things didnt turn out the way i had imagined..i ended up doing computer work for them. the lady was like, you wanna work with the children? cos the prev girl said she was afraid of being around so many children. HAHA, i said i dont mind la.
but actually, i wouldnt know how exactly to act with so many children around...but anw. they are all soo cute! :D
i got stuck in the lil office with a computer and a small chair. but things werent that bad cos i had a lil three year old girl to keep me company <333>
she kept saying HELLO! and smiling at me, then i found out that they had suspected that she may have HFMD, so she was "quarantined" to the office till her parent's fetched her. but they were both busy.. [btw i dont think i'll EVER leave my kids in a child care. not that they're bad, childcares take really good care, but i mean. why would i miss out on my own child's childhood right?] so i found out her name is kai xing, or kai xi, i'm not sure. and that's she's three. and she talks a lot, has really good lung capacity and likes to sing.
she was supposed to be napping in the room i was in, but from the corner of my eye i could see that she was just rolling around on the mattress. so i went over and pulled the covers properly. but she kept looking at me, so i had to give her smth to do.
she said she wasnt sleepy, so i gave her my paper and my zigs and then we started drawing. i decided to give some art lessons [HAHA] and started with a heart.
"i dunno how to do heart"
oops! haha, so i said, nvm! we'll draw circles! and she managed to draw quite a nice one k :D
though her tree was questionable. and soon the person came in and asked her to go sleep and not disturb me.
soo i got back to my exciting job. sorting through 2000 pics [NOT exagerrating] of 13 K2 kids, i had never seen before in my life. but now, i think i'd totally recognise them if i see them somewhere. boooring, BUT, the pics are real cute (:
and soon my lil friend was back (: and this time, "i draw for you on your hand" and so i got two green things on my hand, according to her, it's a star. then. "i draw on your leg!" so i got green things on my knee too, haha, then i decided that i need to go home and told her that she can only draw on hands.
she looked through my pencil case, asked for my ring and wanted me to give her my mr greedy.
"you give me la...i like" woah, talk about direct.
and well she did some other cute things.
soo, life is pretty good. (:
it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, here at the Daniels. (:
Christmas tree is up, lotsa cleaning, curtain hooking and hanging and stuff (:
family dinners have been very entertaining, esp when all five of us are here (:
ok i'm lazy now, this took lotsa effort already.
oh and i love youtube. whoever created it, wowwwee, thank you so much!
it's just so awesome, and has almost everything (:
and oh. i think i miss some people.. =/
